Spanish Foreign Minister Jiménez pays inaugural visit to Berlin
Spanish Foreign Minister Trinidad Jiménez will be paying her inaugural visit to Berlin on Monday and will meet Federal Foreign Minister Westerwelle for a working dinner in the Villa Borsig guesthouse. The talks will focus on ensuring the stability of the euro and on measures to enhance Europe’s competitiveness.
Prior to this, in the afternoon, Minister of State Cornelia Pieper will hold talks with Ms Jiménez on cultural relations and education policy. Afterwards the two women will travel to the Sachsenhausen Memorial in Oranienburg, where they will remember the Spanish victims of the former concentration camp.
